Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (First Assist) or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with RNFA to support the General Surgery team at our New Jersey facilities. The role involves perioperative coverage and first-assist responsibilities across multiple surgical services, including vascular, urology, plastics, ENT, and orthopedics.

The schedule includes 4 ten-hour days, one 14-hour call shift, and monthly weekend calls.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under supervision of a licensed physician.
• Perform and document history and physical assessments for patient age and problem.
• Order, perform, and interpret labs and diagnostic studies in collaboration with physicians.
