Qualifications

• High school graduate who completed an accredited Operating Room Technician training program.
• AST certification and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures by ensuring instruments and sterile supplies are ready and functional.
• Provide skilled scrub support, assisting surgeons and perioperative staff.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention policies.
• Handle, organize, and pass surgical instruments and equipment with accuracy.
• Assist with direct patient care before, during, and after surgery while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Support maintenance and preparation of instruments and equipment between procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and perioperative team members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
• Operate within legal and professional scope and comply with standards.
