• Graduate of accredited surgical technologist program or military training program.
• Ten years experience as a surgical technologist in an acute setting with CST certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of computer systems and instrument processing expertise.
• Knowledge of sterility standards, AAMI and AORN.
• Knowledge of AORN standards.
• CORT/CST certificate preferred.
• Current BLS-HCP.

Responsibilities

• The OR Tech Specialist supports Surgical Services in coordinating instrumentation and scrub technologist activities under RN direction.
• Maintain and organize surgical supplies and equipment, case picking, and orientation/training of new personnel.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to achieve fiscal goals and quality care outcomes.
• Support and perform duties to facilitate patient care delivery and unit efficiency.
