Job summary

Qualifications

Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate patient-centered, team-focused, service-driven care.
Conduct thorough preoperative assessments including histories and allergies.
Ensure proper patient positioning, sterile draping and site verification with the team.
Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring sterility.
Maintain accurate surgical records including meds and patient responses.
Foster effective communication among surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff.
Advocate for patient safety, comfort and infection control compliance.
Respond swiftly to emergencies and equipment or patient status changes.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
Stay updated on surgical techniques and equipment through training.
