Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration at the Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care in the operating room. You will work in a challenging perioperative setting, ensuring patient safety, adherence to AORN standards, SOPs, and comprehensive documentation.

Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing, maintaining sterile technique, managing instruments, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required.
• Current, full, active, unrestricted RN licensure in a U.S. state or territory.

Responsibilities

• Perioperative RN duties: plan, direct, and coordinate care for surgical patients.
• Maintain sterility and safety of the surgical field and equipment.
• Document care provided in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with the team and follow SOPs, policies, and guidelines.
• On-call duties may be required; participate in Time Out and patient safety processes.
