Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by AHA.
• ACLS and PALS certifications accredited by AHA must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care nursing with leadership experience.
• Experience in perioperative services strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as resource for staff in clinical operations, patient care, and safety.
• Lead supervision of Charge RNs, Staff RNs, MAs, and PCTs with coaching and performance feedback.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and training to maintain high patient care standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, state guidelines).
• Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments to optimize perioperative processes.
• Lead initiatives in incident reporting, risk management, and quality improvement.
