Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BSN required within 5 years of date of hire where applicable
• Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing
• BLS - American Heart Association Health Provider

Responsibilities

• Contributes to high-quality, cost-effective healthcare as a provider of direct and indirect patient care and by effective collaboration with the health care team
• Demonstrates clinical nursing knowledge and skill in the unit
• Applies the nursing process to patient care across diverse populations
• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, implement and evaluate plans of care
• Provide direct patient care with attention to physical, psychosocial, spiritual and learning needs
• Engage in patient/family education and discharge planning
