Job summary

Hayden Surgery Center in Idaho is seeking an Operating Room Nurse to assist the OR Charge Nurse in organizing the perioperative environment, ensuring sterility, equipment readiness, and patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

The role supports surgeons, maintains patient flow, and enforces standards of care; requires active Idaho RN license, BLS/ACLS within 3 months, and CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Idaho RN license is required.
• CNOR certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• BLS and ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Experience in perioperative nursing and operating room procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care in procedure, operating, and recovery rooms.
• Ensure the operating room is stocked with surgical supplies and equipment.
• Develop and implement care plans for surgical patients.
• Assist in maintenance and storage of surgical equipment.
• Evaluate surgical patients before and after surgery.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain sterility and aseptic technique throughout the perioperative process.
• Prepare patients for surgery and position them on the table.
• Update patient records and adhere to health and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
