Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nurse Manager – Main Operating Room to provide 24-hour leadership for a high-volume surgical services department at a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center with 27 ORs. You will drive safe, high-quality patient care, operational excellence, and staff engagement while aligning with Nursing Strategic Plans.

Responsibilities include staffing, safety culture, workflow improvements, and mentorship to a perioperative team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• BSN degree.
• Progressive perioperative leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the main operating room as a high-volume surgical services department.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation to support patient care needs.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, patient satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflow and care delivery.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement evidence-based practices for outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a highly engaged perioperative team.
• Support professional development and performance excellence.
