Job summary
The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Nursing is seeking a Nurse Manager to provide leadership and management of the Nursing team in delivering safe, quality, family-centered patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Position responsibilities include managing perioperative general surgery, plastics, burn units, staffing, budgeting, quality initiatives and education.
Required master’s degree in nursing, Iowa license and leadership experience in perioperative care are
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
- If Master’s Degree is in related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license by date of hire is required.
Responsibilities
- Hire, develop and manage staff performance.
- Prepare and manage budgets; monitor financial data and budget goals.
- Identify QA priorities; develop quality standards and patient satisfaction plans.
- Provide clinical education to develop staff competency.
- Ensure safe clinical care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
