Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead daily clinical operations in the Perioperative area, focusing on staffing, patient care, and initiatives that improve outcomes.

You will act as charge nurse, oversee RNs and nursing support, coordinate admissions, develop care plans, and support new caregivers through orientation and education. Shift schedule runs 11:00 AM–9:30 PM with options for 4 ten-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications through AHA or Red Cross.
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing staff.
• Supervise admissions, assess patient needs and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Plan, implement and evaluate nursing programs and unit objectives.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure efficient health services delivery.
• Act as a liaison between the manager, caregivers and other areas.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care.
• Prepare work schedules ensuring adequate coverage.
• Participate in quality improvement, outcomes studies and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new caregivers and provide ongoing education.
