Responsibilities

• Manage daily clinical operations of the Perioperative area.
• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers.
• Supervise admissions, conduct assessments of patient needs, and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Facilitate planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs and initiatives.
• Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between the manager, caregivers, and other areas within the organization.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting patient care services.
• Prepare schedules of work assignments assuring adequate coverage.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
