Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee operating room clinical and operational activities. You will lead the perioperative team, drive patient care quality, and partner with surgeons and anesthesia to ensure efficient operations.

The role emphasizes onboarding, education, and leadership presence to support staff and patients in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current RN license in Minnesota; BLS; ACLS as applicable to perioperative setting.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and oversight of clinical and operational activities within the Operating Room.
• Provide day-to-day leadership of the perioperative team and assume operational responsibility in the manager’s absence.
• Lead onboarding and orientation from initial hire through completion.
• Develop orientation plans and monitor progression toward milestones.
• Coordinate and support preceptors and competency validation.
• Maintain education requirements and support education on new procedures and equipment.
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing leadership to identify educational needs.
