Job summary

Qualifications
- Must be proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Graduate of a nursing program approved by a recognized accrediting body (ACEN/CCNE).
- State licensure as a registered nurse with eligibility for permanent appointment.
- Experience or bridge programs leading to RN licensure may be considered for appointment.
- Eligibility for temporary appointment during licensure apprenticeship is allowed under VA rules.
Responsibilities
- Oversee 24/7 operation of designated units and supervise staff.
- Direct staffing, allocate resources, and ensure unit coverage.
- Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to improve care delivery and outcomes.
- Foster professional development and alignment with evidence-based practice.
- Act as liaison between staff and leadership to facilitate operations.
- Engage in professional organizations to support leadership growth.
