Job summary

CareWell Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care from preoperative holding through PACU, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers. You will prepare supplies, participate in Time Out, assist with induction and extubation, document accurately, and support infection control and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has a NJ RN license (BLS), CNOR/CRNFA preferred, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably BSN program.
• Current NJ license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
• CNOR and/or CRNFA preferred with maintenance of the required continuing education.
• One year experience preferred.
• American Heart Association (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care using the nursing process across perioperative roles (scrub, circulator, clinical coordinator, educator).
• Coordinate instruments, supplies and equipment for intraoperative phase based on patient’s needs and surgeon’s preference card.
• Systematically assess health status and document health data.
• Lead Time Out process to ensure correct site, side and procedure.
• Communicate with physicians, co-workers, patients and families; ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
