Job summary

ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our surgical sub-specialty team. The role focuses on perioperative management and care coordination for orthopedic joint replacement patients, bariatric surgery, and other assigned specialties, with a day-shift schedule.

The selected NP/PA will collaborate with the CSO, Advanced Joint Replacement Program, and multispecialty teams to promote high-quality outcomes for hospitalized patients and drive

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Delaware
• Acute Care NP license required
• Prescriptive Authority or eligibility for Delaware
• DEA registration required
• ACLS required
• Experience as a NP or PA preferred

Responsibilities

• Primary focus on perioperative management and care coordination for orthopedic joint replacement patients, bariatric surgery, short stay elective surgery and other assigned specialties.
• Collaborate with the Center for Surgical Optimization (CSO), the Advanced Joint Replacement Program and multispecialty teams to promote high-quality outcomes for hospitalized patients.
• Active role in quality-based efforts to prevent complications, ED visits, surgical site infections, and readmissions after discharge.
