Job summary

ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our surgical sub-specialty unit. The successful candidate will focus on perioperative management and care coordination for orthopedic joint replacement patients, bariatric surgery, and short stay elective procedures, working with the CSO and joint replacement teams to optimize patient outcomes.

This is a full-time, day-shift role with potential weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Delaware.
• Acute Care NP license required
• Prescriptive Authority or eligibility for the state of Delaware
• DEA registration required
• ACLS required
• Experience as a NP or PA preferred

Responsibilities

• Primary focus on perioperative management and care coordination for orthopedic joint replacement patients, bariatric surgery, short stay elective surgery and other specialties as assigned.
• Collaborate with the Center for Surgical Optimization (CSO), the Advanced Joint Replacement Program and multispecialty teams to promote high-quality outcomes for hospitalized patients and reduce complications and readmissions.
