Job summary

UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton, NC seeks a Perioperative Clinical Education Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate education programs for OR, Pre-OP and Post-OP teams.

The role requires an NC RN license, 3+ years of perioperative clinical experience, and 3+ years of teaching. A Master's in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is required, with MS completion within three years if not yet completed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of three years' clinical experience in the perioperative practice area.
• Three years of teaching experience preferred.
• Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration required; MS must be achieved within three years of hire if not completed prior.
• Evidence of nursing competencies within the practice area, including certifications such as CNE, NPD-BC, CNOR, CAPA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to higher quality of care in the OR and Pre- and Post-OP areas.
• Direct impact on patient care through education and competency development.
