Job summary

UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton, NC seeks a Perioperative Clinical Education Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate education programs for OR, Pre-OP and Post-OP teams.

The role requires an NC RN license, 3+ years of perioperative clinical experience, and 3+ years of teaching. A Master's in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is required, with MS completion within three years if not yet completed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of three years' clinical experience in the perioperative practice area.
• Three years of teaching experience preferred.
• Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration required; MS must be achieved within three years of hire if not completed prior.
• Evidence of nursing competencies within the practice area, including certifications such as CNE, NPD-BC, CNOR, CAPA, etc.

Responsibilities

THE POSITION

Join our dedicated team as a Perioperative Clinical Education Specialist. In this position, you will leverage your expertise to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care provided to the OR and Pre- and Post-OP clinical areas. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing and a minimum of three years' clinical experience in the practice area. Three years of teaching experience preferred. A Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is required. MS must be achieved within three years of the hire date if not completed prior. Must show and maintain evidence of nursing competencies within the practice area, including certifications required for the area of practice (i.e., CNE, NPD-BC, CNOR, CAPA, etc.).
