Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Periop & Procedural Business Informatics Analyst I at the Southlake Campus. You will collaborate with perioperative teams to analyze workflows, implement data-driven improvements, and develop reports that enhance clinician experience and patient outcomes.

You will work with EHR data, SQL queries, and analytics tools to inform business decisions, participate in system audits, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in healthcare informatics, data analytics, healthcare administration or related field.
  • Experience with healthcare information systems, EHR, and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of perioperative and procedural workflows and healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinical teams to assess, design, and implement information systems and workflows that support perioperative and procedural services.
  • Assist in development, configuration, and maintenance of information systems, applications, and databases related to perioperative and procedural services.
  • Participate in regular system audits, identifying improvements and recommending solutions to enhance performance and data integrity.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for perioperative services, addressing system issues promptly.
  • Analyze data to provide insights for process improvements and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of policies and best practices for information systems and technology.
  • Ensure HIPAA and data privacy compliance.
  • Coordinate and provide training to end-users on information systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and IT teams for upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
  • Stay current on healthcare informatics trends and best practices.
