Job summary

National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, AR seeks a Clinical Coordinator (RN) to lead perioperative operations and nursing staff, ensuring safe, efficient patient care. You will oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges, and work with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other departments to optimize patient flow.

The role requires an RN license, 2–3 years in clinical nursing, and leadership experience. BSN preferred; BLS/ACLS current; EHR proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BSN preferred; Master’s or post-grad certification a plus.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience, ideally in GI Endoscopy/Procedure Nursing.
• Proven leadership capabilities including staff scheduling and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Nurse Practice Act, CMS and TJC.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills; fast-paced multitasking.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and basic budget monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift-by-shift operational oversight for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Monitor nursing care delivery and serve as unit clinical resource.
• Assist with staff scheduling, mentorship, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with case management, pharmacy, and other units to ensure continuity of care.
• Drive quality improvement by tracking metrics and leading audits.
• Participate in unit and hospital committees and read relevant policies.
• Facilitate staff and patient communication and support service recovery when needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Nurse Practice Act, CMS, and accreditation standards.
