Job summary

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking Patient Care Technicians (CNA) for our Perioperative Care Unit. This role prepares patients for surgical procedures and provides direct nursing support under RN supervision.

The team supports Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology and other specialties, with a 0.8 FTE /32 hours weekly schedule and 12-hour shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications

• NA-C certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent.
• 1+ year hospital CNA experience preferred.
• MA-R licensure required (Overlake will sponsor).
• Health Care Provider CPR required.
• One year recent health care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computers preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Assist in Perioperative Care Unit with patient transport and safety.
• Document care and observations accurately.
