Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Perioperative Control Desk Liaison at LMH Surgery with a BSN and 2 years of OR or PACU experience. The role coordinates all activities with the surgery schedule to ensure timely procedures and strong cross-department collaboration.

The position requires effective communication with surgeons, anesthesia, and team members, plus scheduling and staffing oversight across PACU/OR areas. Candidates should demonstrate patient-centered care aligned with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Must have 2 years in the operating room and/or 2 years of PACU experience.
• Strong coordination and communication skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all activity—PACU or OR—with the surgery schedule for timely, efficient procedures.
• Ensure incident reports are completed per facility guidelines and maintain excellent customer service with surgeons, anesthesia, and teams.
• Maintain open communication across Sterile Processing, Guest Services, Admitting, Anesthesia, PreOP, PACU, and other departments.
• Collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure staff competency aligns with duties and responsibilities.
• Schedule after-hours and add-on cases accurately, notifying all departments as needed.
• Orient new clinical staff to the control desk role and support constant flow of surgical cases.
