Boston Medical Center - South is seeking a Perioperative Services Support Clerk to provide technical assistance to nursing staff and perform clerical, scheduling, and supply functions for Perioperative Services.

You will greet visitors, answer calls, relay messages, transcribe orders into Meditech, assemble records, and help maintain patient privacy while supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• 1 year of clerical experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet visitors, patients, and staff and route questions to the appropriate staff.
• Answer and make telephone calls promptly and courteously, relay messages to physicians or other departments.
• Assist staff by running errands, delivering specimens and paperwork, and checking mail.
• Keep nurses informed of incoming reports, new orders, and other messages.
• Transcribe physician and nursing orders into Meditech accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assemble, label, and organize the medical records for patient admissions and secure records from previous admissions as needed.
