Job summary

Arnold Palmer Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Control Desk Liaison to coordinate activities between PACU and OR with the surgical schedule, ensuring timely completion of procedures.

The role supports the APH Surgery Department and anesthesia services, requiring 2 years of OR or PACU experience and offering a comprehensive benefits package, professional development, and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Two years' operating room experience in surgical area.
• Two years' PACU experience may apply.
• BSN within 36 months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure incident reports are initiated and completed per facility guidelines.
• Maintain excellent customer service and communication with surgeons, anesthesia, team members.
• Maintain open communication between Sterile Processing/Materials Management (surgery), Guest Services, Admitting, Anesthesia, PreOP (PACU) and other departments.
• Collaborate to ensure staff competency levels match duties performed.
• Ensure coverage for Desk Liaison deficits per guidelines.
• Schedule after hours and add-on cases accurately and timely.
• Orient new clinical team members in control desk functions.
• Coordinate patient care with multi-disciplinary departments to maintain consistent care.
• Act as resource person on off shifts for case questions.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance per policies.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
