MemorialCare is seeking a Patient Care Assistant in Laguna Hills, CA. This unlicensed caregiver supports the Acute Medical Services Unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with daily living activities, data collection, and patient flow from admission to discharge.

The role emphasizes privacy, teamwork, and timely communication, with a focus on safety and compassionate patient care. A night shift is offered with a signing bonus for external hires who meet requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Support the Acute Medical Services Unit by ensuring effective communication among staff, patients and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living and data collection for patient progress.
• Maintain patient privacy and a safe, clean work environment.
• Participate in on-call process and support admission, transfer, and discharge flows.
• Perform clerical duties related to admission, transfer and discharge.
