Job summary

The Perioperative Patient Care Assistant at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center joins the Surgery Services team to support patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This full-time role requires daytime hours, weekend/on-call coverage, and a compassionate, safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities include assisting with basic patient care, coordinating with nurses, and maintaining a clean, confidential environment while adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience in an acute hospital setting is preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of standard perioperative care procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is recommended.
