Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the operating room team during perioperative care. You will help prepare patients, manage anesthesia supplies, and assist with monitoring equipment under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School level of knowledge with ability to comprehend technical and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular equipment, cardiovascular technology and anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organizing inventory in the anesthesia supply room according to PAR levels.
• Checks and cleans anesthesia machines, carts and equipment.
• Assembles invasive lines according to policy and maintains aseptic technique.
• Restocks anesthesia machines and carts per schedule.
• Assists in preparing patients for regional anesthesia.
• Inspects and disinfects department equipment; notifies repairs as needed.
• Sets up and troubleshoots monitoring equipment used by anesthesia staff.
