Dental Center of Kendall is seeking a Periodontic Dental Assistant in Miami, FL to support our clinical team by delivering exceptional patient care in a team-oriented environment. Candidates must have prior periodontal assisting experience and be x-ray certified in FL. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Greet and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Follow infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake documentation.
  • Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or
  • Six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation

and

  • X-Ray certification in FL
  • Nitrous Oxide certification (highly recommended)
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants are also expected to complete annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as mandated by law.
