Dental Center of Kendall is looking for a Periodontic Dental Assistant in Miami, FL to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. Candidates must have prior Perio assisting experience and be x-ray certified in FL. This is a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake documentation if needed.
  • Assist dentists in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program OR
  • Six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation

and

  • X-Ray certification in FL
  • Nitrous Oxide certification (highly recommended)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Perio assisting experience required

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as mandated by law.
