Job summary

Trinity Health’s St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County is seeking a Perinatology Ultrasound Tech to operate ultrasound equipment for diagnostic imaging and support genetic procedures. You will follow center protocols, explain procedures to patients, and ensure high-quality images for interpretation.

The role requires an associate's degree or technical school training, 2–4 years of experience, RDMS and obstetrical NTQR, and BLS certification. Shift is 7am–4:30pm, full-time, on-site at St.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment and film processor to produce diagnostic images for presentation to the Perinatologist.
• Assists Perinatologist in performing genetic procedures.
• Educates patients about procedures and adapts approach to age and needs.
• Follows Center protocol for procedures unless directed otherwise by the Perinatologist.
• Produces quality diagnostic images and prepares proper equipment and supplies.
• Operates medical imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Prepares patients for procedures and provides instructions to obtain accurate results and minimize anxiety.

Position Purpose

Operates ultrasound equipment and film processor to produce diagnostic images for presentation to the Perinatologist. Also assists Perinatologist in doing genetic procedures.

As an Perinatology Ultrasound Tech, you will

• Appropriately educated and explains procedures to patients. Modifies approach based on age, developmental level and needs of patient.

• Follows appropriate Center protocol for procedures unless specified differently by the Perinatologist.

• Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation. Selects and prepares proper equipment and supplies.

• Operates medical imaging equipment properly and safely.

• Prepares patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical school/associate's degree required.

• 2-4 years of experience required.

• RDMS Certificate required.

• Obstetrical (NTQR) Certification required.

• BLS certification required.
