Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX seeks a capable Perinatal RN to provide routine and complex nursing care in a shared clinical setting. The nurse will practice independently, assess patients, administer medications, document care, and educate families while adhering to established protocols and competencies.

Applicants should have a BSN preferred, RN license in Texas, and BLS certification; perinatal residency experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
Current RN license in state of employment or compact.
BLS required.
STABLE certification required; NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Educates patients, families, and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
