Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance is reopening its Birth Center in Cambridge, MA and seeks experienced Registered Nurses to lead labor, delivery and postpartum care. You will join a collaborative team shaping workflows and delivering exceptional maternity care in a newly launched unit.

The role emphasizes evidence-based perinatal nursing, teamwork with CNMs and physicians, and growth within a patient-centered program that values equity and culturally responsive care.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license or eligibility.
• BSN preferred.
• Perinatal/Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care across labor, delivery and postpartum.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNMs and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, individualized care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed birth choices.
• Utilize EPIC and other clinical systems to support high-quality care.
• Participate in quality improvement and help establish birth-center workflows.
• Serve as a clinical resource and foster a culture of collaboration and learning.
