Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to independently operate sonographic equipment and perform high-risk obstetric evaluations. The role supports quality care and patient safety within the Radiology team.

Requirements include a graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program, ARDMS certification or eligibility, NT certification within 12 months, and BLS. Strong English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• 3 years experience performing high risk OB ultrasound examinations.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Operates sonographic equipment and performs detailed exams.
• Educates and informs patients and family members throughout the experience.
• Communicates findings to physicians with clinical history.
• Performs NT studies and assesses anatomical and pathological findings.
• Maintains equipment and lab area and adheres to safety guidelines.
