Almara Maternal Fetal is seeking a part-time Genetic Counselor for our Edina, MN location. The role is 0.75 FTE, on-site, with collaboration alongside a physician and skilled sonographers. The team values evidence-based care, education, and patient support.

Requirements include a Master’s in Genetic Counseling, ABGC certification or boards, and Minnesota licensure with 2+ years of perinatal counseling preferred. The employer supports comprehensive benefits and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Master's level genetic counseling program graduate.
• American Board of Genetic Counseling certification or boards certificate upon hire.
• Two or more years perinatal genetic counseling preferred.
• Licensed as Genetic Counselor by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling for patients under physician supervision or in consultation.
• Counsel patients and families on genetic risk factors and family history.
• Coordinate serum screening, molecular testing or carrier testing as part of care.
• Develop educational materials for health professionals and communities.
• Interact professionally with health team members and communities served.
• Support patients through challenging pregnancies with compassionate communication.
