Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Perinatal Services setting (Nursery/MBU/NICU).
• RN License in the state of employment or a compact license.
• BLS certification required; PALS if Pediatric department; NRP required; STABLE certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients and families; assesses learning needs and resources.
• Delegates tasks to other care providers as appropriate.
