GENERAL SUMMARY:

Embark on a transformative journey with Insight Hospital as a Perinatal Director(Obstetrics). Lead our perinatal care team in delivering exceptional services and ensuring the well-being of expectant mothers and their newborns within the Insight Hospital community. As the Perinatal Director, you will oversee and coordinate perinatal care services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will play a crucial role in developing and implementing programs that support the health and wellness of pregnant mothers and their infants.

These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, following the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests.

DESCRIPTION:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering nursing care as per nursing practices and objectives.
  • Organize and manage the department, as well as associated costs and services.
  • Strategic planning, project management and development of the department.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee perinatal care programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with finance and billing teams to establish and monitor financial goals for perinatal services.
  • Provide strategic leadership to care teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes in the department.
  • Building and management of the overall nursing team at the perinatal department.
  • Be engaged and eager to build a winning team.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Masters-level preparation in nursing or related health-care field preferred.
  • Required minimum 5 years of experience in a nursing leadership role with fiscal and human resource management responsibility.
  • Required Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Illinois.
  • NCC C-EFM certified.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required within last year.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex healthcare challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
