Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on a nursing unit. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN provides clinical guidance and ensures quality care.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, and precepting new staff. Connecticut licensure, ACLS/PALS, and two years of acute Med/Surg experience are required.

Qualifications

• RN with acute Med/Surg experience; two years required
• ACLS and PALS required
• BSN preferred; RN license valid in CT

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and psychosocial condition continuously
• Develop, communicate and document individualized plans of care
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team; precept new staff
• Lead unit activities as Charge Nurse; ensure performance standards
