Job summary

Allina Health in Minneapolis seeks a Perianesthesia RN to support postoperative and anesthesia-related care. This role involves caring for patients on ventilators and those with hemodynamic instability, across tiered acuity requirements.

The position is 0.7 FTE (56 hours per two-week pay period) with 8-hour permanent evening shifts and occasional weekends. Requires RN licensure in MN/WI with ACLS/ALS/PALS certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree required; 0–2 years critical care RN experience.
• Current RN license in MN (or WI if applicable) upon hire.
• ACLS/ALS certifications or in-house ACLS training within 60 days of hire; PALS may be required within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient and family needs assessments and develop care plans.
• Maintain competencies to provide high-quality patient care.
• Incorporate evidence-based nursing practice within current statutes and regulations.
• Collaborate with family and patient to establish realistic, measurable outcomes.
• Ensure age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and attainable outcomes.
• Coordinate, delegate, and collaborate to provide safe, effective care.
• Fulfill organizational requirements and participate in supplemental roles as needed.
