Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our clinical team. The role supports basic patient care, assists with treatments ordered by physicians and supervised by an RN, and helps patients with daily living activities.

You will report changes to nursing staff, maintain clean and orderly rooms, follow standard precautions, and work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment while focusing on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Follows standard precautions and uses PPE as required.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Ability to move about facility and perform multiple tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse.
• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.
