Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist the Registered Nurse across peri-anesthesia areas and support patient flow. You will perform direct and indirect patient care, document vitals and care in the EMR, transport patients, and help with pre- and post-operative activities under the RN supervision.

A valid WA CNA license and BLS are required. Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to lift and move patients are essential; good organization helps

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA license in Washington.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks.
• Self-directed within scope of practice.
• Ability to lift, turn, transfer and move patients and heavy equipment.
• EKG certification or training within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care procedures per EvergreenHealth policies within CNA scope.
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care under RN.
• Document care, observations, vitals and intake/output in EMR.
• Transport patients to perianesthesia areas.
• Complete point-of-care testing and report results.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and replenish as needed.
• Communicate patient status and discharge times to families or escorts.
• Provide clerical support including backup for HUC role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
