Job Summary And Responsibilities

• Provides assessment, teaching and follow-up instruction to a specific patient population.
• Identifies needs, plans and implements educational programs within specialty areas for staff, patients and/or community.
• Serves in a consultative role to staff, management and health professionals in the hospital and community with a focus on quality and cost containment.
• Provides guidance to management, staff and physicians.
• Disseminates and conducts nursing research.
• Serves as leader in the development and attainment of organizational goals.
• Demonstrates professional practice by serving as liaison among program staff, advisory committee and facility administration.
• Defines, refines and re‑focuses role in relation to nursing and organizational needs.
• Role models positive guest relations and collaborative practice.

Job Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree, Nursing
• Experience: One year’s nursing experience
• Registered Nurse
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Must have peri‑op experience

Preferred

At least 3–5 years of peri‑op nursing experience.
