Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ is seeking a qualified Perfusionist to operate extracorporeal circulation and autotransfusion equipment during procedures, supporting or temporarily replacing the patient’s circulatory or respiratory function.

The Perfusionist should be knowledgeable about equipment for extracorporeal circulation and, in consultation with the physician, select the appropriate techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Perfusion.
• Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Current NJ PERFUSIONIST license.

Responsabilités

• A Perfusionist operates extracorporeal circulation and autotransfusion equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or temporarily replace the patient’s circulatory or respiratory function.
• The Perfusionist is knowledgeable concerning the variety of equipment available to perform extracorporeal circulation and is responsible, in consultation with the physician, for selecting the appropriate equipment and techniques to be used.
• "Perfusion" means the functions necessary for the support, treatment, measurement, or supplementation of the cardiovascular, circulatory or respiratory system or other organs, or a combination of those activities, and to ensure the safe management of physiologic functions by monitoring and analyzing the parameters of the systems under an order and under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Formation

Graduate of an accredited School of Perfusion.
