Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in perfusion.
• Graduate of an accredited perfusion program.
• CPR certification is required.
• Perfusion Certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Perfusionist License from the State of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during perfusion procedures.
• Consult with physicians to select appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Administer supplies and manage department staff and purchases.
• Ensure safe management of physiologic functions during extracorporeal circulation.
