Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central in Colorado Springs seeks a full-time Perfusionist to operate extracorporeal circulation equipment and provide cardiopulmonary support. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and graduation from an accredited Perfusionist program, state licensure if required, and ABCCP CCP certification, plus BLS/CPR.

On-site, day shift, 80 hours per pay period. Pay ranges from $75.67 to $105.93 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and graduate of an accredited Perfusionist program.
• State licensure if required by law. Certified as a Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) by the ABCP.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, calibrates, maintains and cleans perfusion equipment.
• Provides and documents perfusion care for surgical and non-surgical cases (ECMO, VAD, IABP).
• Assists in development and evaluation of perfusion policies and procedures.
• Participates in clinical perfusion research and equipment assessment; stays updated on advances in the field.
• Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
