Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking an OR Perfusionist for UCHealth Memorial Hosp Central in Colorado Springs. This full-time, dayshift, on-site role operates extracorporeal circulation equipment to provide cardiopulmonary support during a variety of procedures.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and graduate of an accredited perfusionist program, state licensure/ABCP CCP, and BLS/CPR certification. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and graduate of an accredited Perfusionist program.
• State licensure if required by law. CCP certification by ABCP.
• BLS/CPR certification with valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs assembly, calibration, maintenance, and cleaning of perfusion equipment and circuits.
• Provides and documents clinical perfusion care for a range of procedures including ECMO, VAD, IABP.
• Assists with development and evaluation of perfusion policies and procedures.
• May participate in clinical perfusion research and equipment evaluation.
• Maintains critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced settings.
