Job summary

Penn State University’s Center for the Performing Arts is hiring a Performing Arts Operations Specialist Supervisor to lead accessibility services, volunteer engagement, and front-of-house staffing systems. The role focuses on inclusive hospitality and relationship-centered participant experiences, partnering with campus and community groups.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills; inclusive and respectful when working with others.

• Effective written and verbal communication, collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Experience managing volunteer programs, accessibility services, or related initiatives.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, ADA compliance, and inclusive customer service.

• Demonstrated success building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to exercise judgment in addressing challenges and service needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead accessibility services and accommodations for audiences and participants.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and recognize volunteers and front-of-house staff.
• Manage front-of-house operations ensuring service, safety, and accessibility.
• Support budgets, records, policies, procedures, and training resources.
• Track program outcomes and use data to improve services.
