Job summary

CHAMP in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a Performance Testing Engineer to join our QA team onsite. You will design, implement, and execute performance tests across load, stress, and endurance scenarios using JMeter, K6, or similar tools.

You will analyze results, create dashboards, report findings, and collaborate with developers to integrate performance testing into the release pipeline. The role offers a dynamic startup environment with growth opportunities and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

At least 5-7 years in a test engineering role with at least 3+ years of hands-on performance testing experience
Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6 or similar
Experience analyzing error logs (e.g., CloudWatch or similar tools)
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, AWS)
Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans and scripts for all types of performance testing (load, stress, soak/endurance, spike, volume) utilizing JMeter, K6, or similar
Identify performance bottlenecks and provide data to support those findings utilizing test reports, error logs, monitoring tools and more
Analyze results, generate reports and create custom reporting dashboards
Collaborate with dev teams to integrate performance testing into the release pipeline utilizing GitHub Actions
Maintain and troubleshoot performance test environments and performance test data
Continuously improve performance testing processes and methodologies
