Job summary

A leading IT service provider is seeking a Performance Tester with expertise in performance testing, including at least 6 years of experience with HP Loadrunner and JMeter. The role involves developing and executing performance test scripts, monitoring application performance, and collaborating with developers to create effective test cases. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field and demonstrate a solid understanding of performance testing principles. This position is contract-based for 6+ months, located in Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent experience required.
• At least 6 years of experience with HP Loadrunner, HP Performance Center, and HP Unified Functional Testing.
• At least 4 years of experience with monitoring tools CA APM.
• Experience using JMeter and with Webservices testing.
• Strong understanding of performance testing and tuning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute performance test scripts using HP Loadrunner and JMeter.
• Monitor performance of applications using CA APM.
• Work with developers to create real-world test cases.
• Report defects found during testing using HP ALM.
• Ensure testing fulfills defined objectives and report findings.
