Columbus Crew in Columbus, OH is seeking a Manager of Performance, Player Development to embed into the day-to-day programming of our youth development pathway. The Crew is committed to maximizing the athletic potential of its young players through focused physical development.

The role leads the performance space across emerging talents, Crew 2, and academy teams; builds physical development plans, testing batteries, and reports. Travel and on-call flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education or related field (required).
• Master's degree (preferred).
• Minimum of three years' experience with elite level youth athletes (required).
• CSCS certification by NSCA, UKSCA, or ASCA (required).
• CPSS certification by NSCA (preferred).
• First Aid and CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance space across emerging talents, second team and academy.
• Develop and deliver physical development plans for youth players.
• Manage execution of physical components of development plans.
• Create and deliver reports on physical development across levels.
• Establish age-specific, science-based physical benchmarks.
